i was thinking the other day about all the concerts i’ve been to. i’m not entirely sure why i was thinking about it, but i was. here’s all i can remember:

my first concert EVER was Third Day. i’m not sure who opened up for them, i just remember Third Day.

then somewhere in my life i went to another Third Day concert. i also went to a dc Talk concert. this was back when all the dc Talk members were doing their own solo thing so they all did a solo set and then reprised some old-school dc Talk stuff at the end. pretty sweet.

i’ve went to a few of the Passion events back in the day when Tomlin and Crowder and Matt Redman would tour around with Louie Giglio. those were sweet.

Hillsong came to 7|22 one night and i was there for that. pretty amazing as well.

one time Third Day and David Crowder* Band did a show together at the Fox Theater in Atlanta. that was pretty nice.

Steven Curtis Chapman put on an extremely good show. believe that. he was at the Arena at Gwinnett Center with Chris Tomlin and Casting Crowns. and like i said, SCC put on an extremely good show.

my latest concert was Jon McLaughlin who was incredible. the venue was Vinyl in Midtown and it was probably the hottest, sweatiest, loudest concert i’ve ever been to. but Jon was unbelievable.

so you tell me. what is the best concert you’ve ever been to?

Mine will surprise you. I have been to a few shows here and there. My first concert was Joan Osborne when I was 13, she played at centennial Olympic park the night it was bombed. Pretty unreal. I’ve been to music midtown two times and seen some amazing shows, Ludacris, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Puddle of Mud (who I thought I’d hate but loved), Hoobastank (who sucked), The Offspring and quite a few others. But, the best show’s I’ve ever seen were Kenny Chesney, WHAT?! Country?!?! Oh yes the best entertainment for your dollar is a Kenny Chesney show, seen him 3 times.

yeah, those are definitely quite an array of musical tastes. I’ve heard Kenny Chesney is really good. Wasn’t he Entertainer of the Year for about 4 or 5 consecutive years?
